This year STAR helps the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) to host the open house for incoming batch of engineering undergraduate students. The open house was well attended by over 150 students and guests taking a tour of the new STAR centre and learning more about the NUS engineering experience.
The Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the DSO National Laboratories (DSO) jointly launched the Satellite Technology and Research Centre (STAR) to develop cutting-edge capabilities in distributed satellite systems, with a focus on flying multiple small satellites in formation or constellation.

Singapore Space Symposium on
27 September 2017. The symposium
was well attended by an overwhelming attendance of more than 350 people,
mainly from the industry
Getting ready to expand into the new space at the Singapore Wind Tunnel Facility. The Centre will have ESD (electrostatic discharge) control laboratories, a class 100k cleanroom, a satellite mission control room, space environmental test setup such as thermal chamber, vacuum chamber etc.
